Why is EMV/NFC important to your business?
Starting in 2015, if you have an EMV/NFC capable terminal you will eliminate your risk for any chargebacks. That’s right (and it’s worth repeating) if you have one of the newest machines and you process cards in a face-to-face environment you will no longer have any liability if the cardholder attempts to file a chargeback. This is significantly different from today, as cardholders can file a chargeback and can win the chargeback in most cases. Coming soon the liability will shift to the cardholder if you have the right equipment.
